Letter from Kathy Chavez
Date: 13 Oct. 2009
To: AEAA Building Reps, EAs, CSLs and CSAs
From: Kathy Chavez, AEAA President
RE: Survey EAs, CSLs, CSAs at your school/job site immediately
Lawmakers will meet Satuday, October 17. They will try to pass a 3.5% student value cut, and they will try to cut our paychecks by 2.5% effective November 2009, that’s this year!
We must stop them.
Please hand-out the attached flyer immediately to all EAs, CSLs and CSAs at your school and job site, union and non-union.
Survey everyone - ask them if they will go to Santa Fe with me Saturday, October 17, and help me stop lawmakers from cutting our student’s value and our paychecks.
Count those who say YES, they will go Oct. 17.
Complete your survey quickly, call-in results to Eloisa, or Helen: 266-6638.
I need a ball-park number of how many will help me stop these proposed student cuts and pay cuts.
Thanks !
GET FIRED UP ! GET READY TO GO !
I love you all,
